@CinnamonCatYurilover@sharkey.skydevs.me X11 and Wayland are communication protocols used for communication between clients and a display server. X11 is older, buggier, and more of a pain in the ass to use but it has a lot more features like being able to adjust window positions and stuff. X11 also has a lot of bloat features that I never looked into. Wayland is newer, somewhat buggy, slightly less of a pain in the ass to use, and it’s a lot more limited (that’s mostly GNOME’s fault lol). I haven’t worked with them much yet but I will soon and I can give a better explanation then ​:waf:​
