Not sure that there's a better illustration for the relationship between capitalism and the commons than searching for "Wikipedia" in the app store and being presented, above the Wikipedia app, with a paid knock-off app that seeks to monetize the volunteer labor that makes Wikipedia possible.

It's also illustrative, of course, of the toxic nature of walled "gardens" for distributing apps, which gives platform operators like Google and Apple free rein to sell misleading ads.
