I would say:
1. They don't have the marketing money to become a consideration for most people. Run a superbowl ad for a @starlabssystems@mastodon.social laptop running Fedora Kinoite and see how many people convert.
2. Same, but that means they don't come preinstalled on most laptop. Even getting a Thinkpad with Linux is harder that it should. Installing Linux from USB is _hard_
3. Ecosystem integration. You're stuck in iMessage and want it on your laptop? You have exactly one choice.

@lobau@noodle.social @spyke@mastodon.online Hey, I have just made a marketing proposal to Sean about a Super Bowl commercial. He said that I would only have 40% of my marketing budget left to last the rest of the month, so it's not looking likely 😂 Jokes aside, there are a lot of features I have given up moving from my Macbook to StarBook. Some people don't care about privacy and just want compatibility with features. I don't know what would have to happen to make Linux the #1 OS!
