@Craigp@mastodon.social Maybe it's a native english speaker vs non-native thing? I've never experienced this problem nor meet anyone that really reacts to the name. But I live in Sweden.

@aanee@mastodon.online @Craigp@mastodon.social I'm also Swedish, and (aside from the software) I think I've only heard the word "gimp" used by one person outside of the Internet, and that was a classmate/friend 20 years ago who used it while gaming.
