@davx5app@fosstodon.org @JonathanTreffler@gruene.social @nextcloud@mastodon.xyz Hmm. Now I have to watch 3 different Push things in Nextcloud. Unified Push, FilePush and this one? And then the docs of nextcloud tell me that for the core push in Nextcloud I need Google Push and there is no way to diy. Then I read the docs of the Nextpush extension for unifiedpush and it is written in a way that implies it replaces all kinds of push for nextcloud. #nextcloud #mess #documentationgore

@davx5app@fosstodon.org @JonathanTreffler@gruene.social @nextcloud@mastodon.xyz But that seems to be not true because when I look at the subscriptions, only other non nextcloud things are registered in that. Can someone explain to me what is the actual status of this stuff?

"UnifiedPush Provider"/NextPush (ppush) is a UnifiedPush provider that is simple to host but not mandatory to use any of the other push apps. Dav Push (the one the thread is originally about) is for calendars, contacts and tasks on clients and works with any UnifiedPush/WebPush provider (including NextPush and Google FCM) (1/2)
