I kinda defined hedonism as living without a purpose neglecting everything in favor of short time pleasures - living like nothing matters anymore (?) I feel like it kinda applies?

@nofuj@sk.girlthi.ng i feel like if you're putting in effort then at least that's some sort of self-actualization and actually not hedonism, as another poster said it's coping but very healthy actually imho

@nofuj@sk.girlthi.ng i think the big difference is the degree to which it is voluntary, e.g. if you made the supposedly more responsible or whatever decisions, how would you be able to live with that? i think for this definition to be useful you'd have to be able to live a decently happy life with long term perspective to keep at least that
