The name won't make a bit of fucking difference unless we scour medical misogyny out of the entire medical profession.
I went to GPs twice.
In my 20s, presenting a record of my wildly irregular periods, I was told I was 'obsessed'.
In my 30s, concerned that a beard wasn't typical, I was told, "You're fat so it's PCOS. Shave if it bothers you."
