Driving through the Vosges in the Capri blue Lancia Beta coupé, the car my dad still quietly loves. The roads wrap themselves around the mountains and pour into the valleys. Dad loves the hairpins, sunroof adjar, windows open. It's a coupe, I am in the back, and can't see through the windows. My carsickness is terrible. Dad's solution is to put me in front and mum in the back. I get to put The Eurythmics cassette in the tapedeck! The sun beams as 'Love Is A Stranger' starts playing. Dad smiles.
