@Lightfighter@infosec.exchange While I’m sure some of the startups hire people, the article doesn’t get into it at all. A town with a bunch of entrepreneurs isn’t what I’d normally think of as a “company town” which was historically centered on one company that also owned the company store. You can’t really have one without a degree of remoteness and limited mobility. All these people can just drive into Austin if they want to.
