And even if they were the same people, they are different things.
My point is that if we check every outcome for complete ideological purity (and I understand that mass murder is a big thing to ignore) we end up blind to the good. Life's hard, yes. And the world is a shitty place.
Repeating it next to the work of someone who tries to keep a piece of it shit-free is not "being aware" but being self-righteous.

@signaleleven@social.tchncs.de You can't just sit & ignore that the people (& very often they're the same people; lead engineers on F-35 worked on SLS) who make our wonderful, inspirational things, also produce screaming & bleeding, which we largely ignore because it's in the Middle East & happens to brown people who worship the wrong god. I don't know how to be happy all the time, seeing that everything good is also built next to a charnel pit. It's not by ignoring it, it's by working to stop the evil part.
