@jscholes@dragonscave.space @Vordus@chitter.xyz I work for a big engineering firm where acronyms make information less accessible for everyone, doubly so for colleagues who rely on screen readers. Which was the original point. "A11y" is less accessible for everyone.

@tryst@meow.social It's the "doubly so for people who rely on screen readers" bit I disagree with. If someone doesn't understand something in text, they don't understand it, regardless of how they read it. To suggest otherwise can imply that using a screen reader is a significant disadvantage, or makes someone less capable. @Vordus@chitter.xyz
