@bellinghman@wandering.shop @dtl@8bitorbust.info @simontatham@hachyderm.io Yeah in practice it makes no difference as the types (int,long,char,etc) don't differentiate between octal and decimal and hex etc and the value of 0 is the same regardless (and they could have defined that 0 was decimal literal and 00 was the octal literal 0) but it's a fun bit of trivia when someone claims octal is dead and you can point out they use it all the time :)
