A 14th Century CE; Mamluk Enamel and Gilded Glass Beaker, decorated with legendary and real birds; possibly made in Egypt or Syria... Mamluks decorative arts, especially  enameled and gilded glass, inlaid metalwork, woodwork and textiles were prized around Mediterranean as well as in Europe, where they had a profound impact on local production.
