I learned, via a lobster post, that KDE 3 is still being maintained through the #trinityDesktop project [1] Not sure how viable it is but KDE 3 was feature complete to me back then and the last desktop I used and for the longest time until I ran Gnome Shell from 2015 to 2018. It could be a good alternative to XFCE for those needing a desktop experience and why not, FreeBSD's main offering. Need a little polish though, those icons were already out of place in 2005. :) [1] https://www.trinitydesktop.org/
