@norootcause@hachyderm.io ...because there's one, the "Duke of Edinburgh" parked by the boundary fence of what used to be RAF Kinloss near me. It's now the Royal Engineers though, no longer RAF. I belive that it was active in the Falklands conflict back in Thatcher's era.
