I am looking for weird niche trivia and so I come to Mastodon. I help put together a list of a few interesting links on a monthly basis for folks in my IT group. Like, this month since 'May the Fourth" is all Star-Wars-y, it's some stuff on history of some cinema stuff like rotoscoping and matte paintings and greenscreen (including Disney's sodium yellow prism for Mary Poppins). For July, since it's the 250th anniversary of America, I'd love to find some stuff about communications and the American Revolutionary War or at least around that time, or information handling, then. I know there's a bunch of stuff out there about the codes/cyphers used at that time, but I figure there's got to be stuff out there that's not quite so narrowly focused as "cryptography" Thanks, nerds!
