@Greg@social.coop We got a Toybox. It is a low spec entry level printer, which I've only used with their proprietary software, all of which might not be for everyone, but the upside of it is that it is so straightforward and reliable that the 12yo kiddo has been entirely self sufficient with it right from the start. He's making things like new Catan boardgame prices in onshape, exporting them to toybox as STLs, and is good to go.

    @Greg@social.coop we made some keycaps the other day. At first just to replace a broken one. But then some more because it was cool. The cross shaped hole on the keycap underside is at the boundary of Toybox's resolution, because the cross shaped stem on the key switch that fits in it needs just the right amount of friction in the fit, so you can attach the keycap without pushing the stem into the switch, but when you pull the keycap afterwards, it doesn't just fall off...
