Inhibiting absorption, or triggering the body to dump/burn, are other viable non-puritan-bs ways to approach the same problem. I'm not familiar with details but I believe there is a good deal of viable research in this direction that's constantly overshadowed by "lol u eat too much that's sinful take this drug so you stop sinning" mentality.
