@dalias@hachyderm.io @shafik@hachyderm.io We tried those, they all have side effects worse than GLP-1s. For example DNP is one of the most hilariously toxic things ever prescribed as a medicine.

@wren6991@types.pl @shafik@hachyderm.io Yeah DNP is batshit scary stuff, because it does that on a direct chemical level and volume of reaction scales directly with dose (among other things). But the approach of treating what's a metabolic disorder (undesired biochemical behavior) itself rather than through neurological behavioral modification drugs is sound.
