@stephen@ephemera.vital.org.nz @PatrickHerd@aus.social Am currently looking at this myself - the inverter that was supplied with the solar system is grid-tied only, and apparently you need a hybrid to expand to battery capacity. I did tell the solar supplier many times that the system needed to be future-proofed and able to have batteries added at a later date.....they supplied the wrong type of inverter.
