@Li@tech.lgbt Yes, that all tracks and we agree, laws are bad because they often fuck people over and do nothing for the actual issue at hand, when they are on the very rare occasion used to keep corps in check that isn't literally always a net negative for people.

@SphereSystem2@meow.lgbt honestly in general it really frustrates me how we're willing to give corporations and state actors a bazillion chances, but the second an individual person does something wrong, your just discarded forever. you have any idea how many big companies have scandals like 'was involved with the holocaust' (IBM, Coca-Cola) or .. 'might have made racist propaganda for the american south' (Disney) .. and its just fucking *crickets* but you'd have a hard time finding anyone who'd just let that pass for an individual person even decades after the fact, 🫠 and its like that even for like waay less serious shit too .. like idfk making a scam antivirus one time or something .. :akko_badday: uuu it .. really .. absolutely .. should be the other way around .. and the fact its not completley tears me apart more than it should .. honestly
