@Li@tech.lgbt Yes, it's very difficult to write or enforce laws that only affect corporations and there is little to no desire to do so except when it's pro corporation. We would also prefer not having corps, "authority" figures, laws, it's just that what copyright claims to do if that is what it actually did isn't entirely bad if we're going to have corporations, in theory copyright means cops have to pay you for your work, which would be good.

@SphereSystem2@meow.lgbt honestly im not entirely sure, .. you'd still have to pay you for your work otherwise .. how would you get someone to make a thing for you .. but you couldn't get repeatidly paid for the same work you did 10 years ago, .. or more specifically, nintendo couldnt just re-release SMB1 again to instantly get more money with 0 effort, but they still have to pay developers to make it in the first place, otherwise well they wouldnt have SMB1. also situations like harry potter and whatnot you could *actually* 'seperate the art from the artist' because your not required to pay them forever for past work, only to to make a new thing .. .. sorry .. ive heard capitalist arguments against copyrights before xS they seem universally hated :akko_shrug:

@SphereSystem2@meow.lgbt anyway, im not supporting "laws" but i am just saying, law enforcement towards corporations is significantly less bad than law enforcement towards people or entities, and its primarily the latter that makes me fundamentally oppose such forces; a coorporation looses maybe a couple thousand dollars, their stocks go down, whatever the fuck else; a person looses their entire lives pretty much, either literally or figuratively; i value people, i dont approve of deliberately destorying peoples lives, both litterally and metaphorically, this is the litteral goal of the state, to do this to anyone and everyone who breaks said 'laws' his cant happen to corporations though; even if their general vibe socially from those around them is extremely negative, it has no impact on them- everyone hates adobe, they dont care, it doesn't effect their actual business .. however this sort of thing absolutely *does* effect people though,
