@stags@social.seattle.wa.us @shi@tech.lgbt @h5e@tech.lgbt I think recipes to avoid formatting getting preserved on clipboard are useful, but the benefit is limited to people who are already aware it's an issue and that there's a solution.
This really needs to be fixed universally: default of non-formatted copy and non-formatted paste everywhere, with formatting only if you explicitly ask for it at both copy time and paste time.

Some even give you the opportunity to set the default behavior. The only way for us, as a community, to change default behavior is by telling the devs directly via contact forms and telling them indirectly by preferring and using apps that behave like we want them to. This is true for copy/paste behavior, data stealing for AI, forcings ads, etc
