@binkle So, I know little about Orthodoxy. But, I have the impression that they focus on experiencing God. Being in His presence. On the prot side, I see that usually, people only have any sense of God while in a worship service. So, I was wondering if it was the same on the Ortho side, or does their focus on God&#39;s presence extend beyond the church building?

There is a tradition in the Orthodox church about "cultivating the prayer of the heart" which is intended for exactly this, although a lot of the traditions of the church tend to interweave and help with it (long periods of fasting weakening the body so as to strengthen the spirit are one other example). The intention is that you should experience God's presence always (or at least as much as you're capable of, growing in spiritual maturity with the hopeful culmination of union with God through grace (i.e. theosis)) My understanding is that we all, whether by the path of monasticism or marriage, are called to be saints and to be united with God through His grace. It's very much not an "only on Sundays" kind of affair
