    So there's a thought in this that if you could see how others felt about a thing and knew that everyone else had the same information, it would lower the temperature just by being there ambiently. That said, there's guaranteed to be a contingent who get increasingly more upset when they're faced with metadata on their posts that say most people disagree with them, especially in those early stages when it's a whiplash from the unearned certainty that of course they're right. A whole layer of conspiracy to explain the polling as fake, dead internet theory, must be "AI" made up polls etc etc, and I guess that's the irony laden end-game for the algo driven social media we'll need to eat.
