Anyway, I recommend Rev Left Radio's [interview](https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/revolutionaryleftradio/Iran_History.mp3?dest-id=485908) with Adnan Husain for a broader history of Persia focused on the context of the current US-Israeli war on Iran. It is very thorough but if you aren't familiar with marxist analysis some of the logic and terminology might require explanation. This [episode](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wN0GBSToWI) by the deprogram is also very good and far less out of date. These are all podcasts, if you would rather read something I recommend [mintpressnews](https://www.mintpressnews.com/), [peoplesdispatch](https://peoplesdispatch.org/), and if you are looking for rightous belligerence with decent analysis I recommend [caitlinjohnstone](https://caitlinjohnstone.com.au/) Edit: i will add that if you are not a leftist some of this will conflict with your current understanding of geopolitics. I encourage you to be curious and investigate what does not make sense to you.
