@slims@famichiki.jp i mean yeah it’s not uncommon, absolutely… but i feel like the actual story here should focus on the fact that “daycare staff” is a deeply shitty and underpaid job??? i feel like the overwhelming majority of people would choose to work in the home rather than be a daycare teacher forever. there’s a reason it’s mostly young people who burn out and change jobs or quit when they get married 😶 poor article, as usual 😮💨

@slims@famichiki.jp @pippa@famichiki.jp considering how mentally and physically taxing it is to care for 20-30 children every day (and then the paperwork and planning and preparing), the rewards for it really aren’t enough in the long run 😬 I have a comparatively easy time in the job (and most of the time I enjoy the job too) and even I sometimes fantasize about only having to care for the home 🤪
