TIL Renfe's travel card (which is needed even for single travel) is not interoperable between each province

I'm not pissed at the fact that it cannot work across provinces (which is also nonsense given that Renfe is a "national" company) but at the Valencia card being cheap paper which doesn't fit into card holders whereas the one I had (from Murcia) was plastic and actually nice
