My first phone with a USB-C connector, I would put into my pocket such that it was "natural" - i.e. oriented correctly when I withdrew it, and thus connector up. I experienced the problem as described: connector would not retain in the socket. Since switching to consciously connector down, I've not had a recurrence. I'd say it has worked out well for me. @acm_redfox@jawns.club
