@oxytocinated@chaos.social because meritocracy still somewhat ties people's worth and their right to take part in society to what they are able and willing to achieve.

@plyspomitox@chaos.social I think it makes sense to have a bit of meritocracy in the mix. From my experience otherwise there are many people with a big mouth, but unwilling to do anything to make a difference. And those who are willing to do the work should be able to have (more) say in whatever matter. My experience is based in volunteer work mostly.
