@jlevon@fosstodon.org We should have multiple certificate issuers, like we used to. Ideally in different countries as well so people can switch if a despotic leader throws their toys out of the pram and orders LetsEncrypt not to issue certificates to people the US has decided is being mean to them. We should absolutely have an EU alternative to LE for example (with feature parity - I believe there are one or two with some features).
