Some of the transit agencies switched to better filters after COVID, It might be worth checking to see if what level filter they're using in their HVAC.
You can also use a CO2 meter for a rough proxy for how stale indoor air is. the higher the number the more likely you are to be breathing air that has recently been in another human.
