Except, instead of “Dead kids are a small price to pay for the FREEDOM TO SHOOT THINGS!”, it will be “Dead kids are a small price to pay for TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRESS!” Expect them to start promoting every “solution” (mental health, age verification, bulletproof smartphones, etc.) other than regulation of AI, even a little bit.
