That means that Dependabot will only cause ⅙ of the load it used to. Additionally, minor changes that I make to code will only trigger one teeny-tiny action that runs on all commits, not a bazillion builds across six operating systems and a dozen versions of my dependencies.

Doing this even semi-automagically across dozens of repos whose actions had very slight differences meant that I first spent three days making the actions all get built from templates. That was Very Annoying, and I hope that the polar bears are grateful for what I did for them. 4/4
