@ireneista@adhd.irenes.space I’ve only seen a few things saying Mastodon is adding the feature, and the thing I’m wondering about is how are the new quote-posts different from the pseudo-quote-posts we have now?
I don’t want to encourage pile-ons, but I (pseudo-)quote post quite a bit to share my thoughts inspired by some other post and keep the context without either hijacking their thread or failing to share my thoughts with my followers; is there a better way to do that?

@ShadSterling@mastodon.social well, we don't use mastodon, so we don't get to actually see the feature. though per another branch of the replies, apparently we'll get to be on the receiving end of it, with no way to opt out, once it's fully rolled out.
