We love to share bad experiences with our tech, so I thought it's worth pointing out when something good happens as well: ASUS just fixed my Zenbook S14 that had a display issue in about a week. No drama, no waiting, just results 💪

@Techaltar@mas.to No doubt thanks to GamersNexus for forcing them to change for the better. Thanks Steve.

@Techaltar@mas.to When I started studying I bought myself a Dell XPS 13 for university. It came with one year of premium support. When I had a display problem they sent a technician to my place to replace the screen within a few days. Didn't even have to send it in. Didn't have that great of an experience with my battery problems after the premium support ended though...

  • @Techaltar@mas.to I got 3 xears of lenovo premium support for "free" with my laptop. I also had several good experiences with them (on-site). One time they couldn't fix something, and I had to send it in. Got it back after two weeks or so, fixed, no problem. Arguably the only problem with Lenovo: 4+ warranty cases within 3 years (and since then, in the past two years, everything fine*). - touchpad broken - random mainboard broken (cap or so died) - display angle sensor broken (that one, I had to send in after 2 attempts on-site) - USB port broken - I think one more thing but I forgot what * a few days ago my keyboard started not registering some keys. Enter being the most annoying.
