@ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club "Huuum let me think about thaaaat" for 30 seconds and then proceeds to give a shallow encyclopedic definition of the keywords in the question while reading from another screen. To be fair, I’m not against Googling or LLMs _if_ they disclose it beforehand, but it shouldn’t be necessary on question about the achievements picked from their resume :)

@swapgs@infosec.exchange @ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club "Achievements"...Why can't one just do a good job? Why does there have to be achievements? #DumbAllOver

@swapgs@infosec.exchange @ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club To be fair, I suspect anyone with a career > 5 years will have accomplished things and retain no recollection of what they did.

@swapgs@infosec.exchange @ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club I don't think I would ever admit to using either in an interview. Not knowing whether the person on the other end of the stronger lever would use that against me or not. I wouldn't use LLMs in an interview or for anything else, but using a search engine if that was explicitly offered as a possibility. I don't need to pretend I know the syntax or all the parameters for every single bit of code I use, not like I won't be searching during my work time.
