@ludicity@mastodon.sprawl.club @TimWardCam@c.im I used to interview a lot, and this happened in about 1/15 interviews pretty consistently. Usually the candidate begins answering the question, then adds more information as the Google search yields results, as if they are remembering more or thinking it through. Once, the unfortunate candidate was wearing glasses and I was able to see the Google results page (Google logo at the top) in the reflection of their glasses. When called out, he doubled down on how he was “taking notes”.
