I got 20km line of site from Waitakere ranges to a lorawan site on the skytower... all I had at my end was 8cm of wire on a board... clear line of site tho... but still magical ..

@yakmoose@cloudisland.nz I've done Syme hut (Taranaki) directly to Wellington with a small 30mW hand help, but am also pretty impressed how well it does work in dense bush. I found a paper that looks at the signal propagation and it seems mainly along the canopy/air boundary, even when there's a more direct path EG in a valley available
