Posting a comment about Gate Array Logic ICs (GALs) has just reminded me of a time a couple of years back when I received a bad batch of said devices ('New old stock'), and the supplier wanted a quick video of me running tests on a couple of chips, so I duly made a recording and sent it to them. Naturally, I kept a copy of the test video...and that's how I had to show my wife and explain the contents of a folder on the home server called BADGALS.
