@Lyle@cville.online when the replacement Forth Bridge was opened in 2012 the 1964 bridge was kept open for pedestrians bicycles and public transport only.
It wasn’t built for that purpose, but it certainly is being maintained for that purpose.

@peterbrown@mastodon.scot @Lyle@cville.online I walked across the old bridge last summer on my way from Lands End to John o'Groats and can confirm that it works for hikers/trekkers/pedestrians, too.
