I think rathole is unmaintained. It hasn't been updated in forever and basic features like proxy protocol are just sitting there waiting for a new release to make them available. [I ended up replacing rathole with gost](https://github.com/go-gost/gost/discussions/855) and I actually like it better. I can run an identical setup to rathole with straightforward command line parameters instead of a config file (though a config file can also be used).
