It’s hard. It’s really hard. There’s that whole spiral of “but what if I’m not good enough” “I’m going to have to do so much work before I can even start” “I don’t have the willpower to go through all that just to get back to zero”
So for that, I find two things helpful-

The first is doing it for a specific reason. For me, cycling to the shops got me back on the bike. So drawing a specific person, maybe. Master as a hypnotic supervillain? The other is to go a little sideways. Coding was too much for me. But excel was fine. So sketching on a tablet, maybe?
