A lot of folk who support Reform (as opposed to the actual Councillors) aren't even that racist/bigoted, but feel that Reform is "business and motorist friendly" and will stop things like 20mph speed limits and things like health and safety/environment regulations that aren't even that onerous but require some admin work or other actions that is perceived to divert from revenue earning business..

Edit of the edit: those who vote for their own self interest neglect the context that their own self interest requires to survive. The really ironic and unfortunate thing is that they usually have children.
