There've been a few media stories about the broken-ness of the new TVNZ+ app. It doesn't work here on previously compatible devices.
The story seems to be that the new version was so they could charge $45 for folks to watch the Trump-aligned FIFA World Cup.
TVNZ are said to have released an apology and a new version to fix everything, but ...

It's not only the app. The web version of TVNZ+ is equally broken in so many ways.
