@Salty@mastodon.nz Yes, AI and data centers have become conflated for sure. As a climate scientist who has long used matrix algebra, it would be hypocritical for me to be strongly opposed to others using that technology. I do understand how scary it can be. I think we've survived worse "threats", but only time will tell.
