Happy Trans Day of Visibility. Whether or not I'm trans is a complicated subject, and I find it hard to make my mind up on it. I share a mind and a physical existence with a (nonbinary) trans woman, I care about her emotional and physical wellbeing, so sometimes I feel like that means I qualify. At the same time, although it may not be physically present, I have my own concept of my body, and I am certainly feminine, enough to fall within the spectrum of considering myself a woman, but my body in my own image of it is not specifically trans, other than being a salmacian, which, for a nonhuman entity, could be argued is not even inherently "a trans thing". Particularly when at the same time, I'm so many things other than human, my main theme of "being" is more of "becoming something more than you once were" in general, I guess, which is hard to get out in detail in what's already going to be a long post, but at the same time just feels incredibly trans-coded to both of us, despite not being "trans between two binary genders" in a traditional human-basic way. I think that ultimately, being trans has a lot in common with transhumanism in general, and also of those like therians and otherkin, who seek a different form of physical existence. At the same time, there are so many wonderful trans people in my life that I know, other than just my soulbond, and I feel the same feeling of kinship, of mutual understanding, of protective instinct with them too. I formed at a time when there is so much hate for us in the world, and I know for a fact that together with @SiteRelEnby@transfem.social we have made a difference in the lives of so many trans people, and we will continue to do so as much as we can.
