Good lord The Australian is such a parody of itself on this hallowed Budget Night. What a bunch of sooks. 🙄
I adore how removing discounts is breathlessly framed as a tax grab.
It's nice to finally see a centre-left government do the scary thing right-wing media tells rich children they're going to do.

@philbetts@mastodon.social The whole "hit on housing investments and trusts" sounds a lot like threatening me with a good time. If they had instituted a wealth tax on multi-millionaires to save the NDIS then maybe we can talk "center-left".
