If you are using #Gardena smart devices (with a gateway) (and #HomeAssistant) it is now possible to activate a local websocket on the gateway and control your devices and receive events (e.g. temperature/soil moisture) locally. It is still in an early stage (device support rather good, UX improvements and more testing in progress), but already working nicely.
