I always try and do my own repairs. Coffee machine, bicycle, electronics, anything that I’m capable of doing myself without risking catastrophe/death (I stay away from plumbing and electrical repairs mostly). If I can find a way to save money (cut my own hair, home gym instead of gym membership) I try and pursue that so I need to spend less time slaving away for my employer. I wish I could do major repairs at home too, but I’m forced to rent so not legally allowed to.
